Chief Operating Officer

• Lead risk management, compliance, and operations functions to scale Possibility Labs from 70+ to 100+ partners.
• Design and implement comprehensive risk management and compliance frameworks, including policies, trainings, and crisis management plans.
• Oversee technology platforms, partner service delivery, and people operations to ensure operational excellence and alignment with organizational values.

This role enables Possibility Labs' partners—BIPOC and historically low-income communities—to focus on bold work in ownership, land, and climate justice by providing robust operational and compliance infrastructure that manages risk and ensures organizational stability.

• 10+ years of progressive leadership in operations, risk management, and compliance, preferably in nonprofit fiscal sponsorship or donor-advised fund contexts.
• Deep knowledge of nonprofit regulatory frameworks (501(c)(3), fiscal sponsorship, DAF requirements, IRS reporting).
• Experience building scalable systems, managing partner portfolios (100+ projects), and leading HR and culture initiatives.
• Systems thinking, data-driven mindset, and ability to 'hold the whole' while collaborating with C-suite and board.
