Chief Operating Officer

Core responsibilities:

• Oversee core operational infrastructure including financial operations, HR processes, and internal systems
• Own operational finance, develop business dashboards and KPIs, and partner with CEO on financial strategy
• Lead and support a distributed global team of full-time employees and contractors
• Design and optimize operational systems to enable scale across client delivery and internal workflows
• Provide senior operational leadership for the commercialization of the Grant Monitoring Service software platform

This role accelerates climate technology deployment by helping climate tech companies secure public funding, directly contributing to the transition to a sustainable economy.

Required qualifications:

• Senior operational leadership experience in a startup or scaleup environment, including COO or COO-adjacent roles
• Proven ability to design and scale operational systems within a services-based business
• Demonstrated success driving growth through go-to-market execution and commercial expansion
• Strong operational finance acumen including oversight of billing, accounting partnerships, and performance metrics
• Experience leading distributed, multi-level teams including contractors and cross-functional staff

Compensation and benefits:

• Base salary target $175K–200K + meaningful equity participation
