Chief Financial Officer

• Provide senior oversight and support across financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and business partnering activities.
• Manage the finance team of 5 and ensure fiscal integrity.
• Work with the Board and leadership to make sound decisions regarding CIEL's financial health and balance strategic and operational priorities.
• Develop and present strategic forecasts and explain technical financial concepts with clarity.

This role ensures CIEL has the financial systems, processes, reporting, and strategy to maintain fiscal health, enabling high-impact campaigns that protect the environment and promote human rights.

• Comfortable with financial reporting and complexity in a global organization with entities in Washington DC and Geneva, Switzerland.
• Ability to dive into details and explain technical and financial concepts with ease.
• Experience developing and presenting strategic forecasts.
• Leadership experience managing a finance team.

Salary range: $170,000-$200,000 depending on qualifications. Remote or hybrid/flexible in Washington DC. Full-time or fractional engagement available.
