Campaigns and Policy Principal - Counterspark

Core responsibilities:

• Research assigned policies and technologies to improve Counterspark's communications
• Work with state teams to identify legislative priorities and develop advocacy and communications materials
• Monitor and summarize legislation relevant to Counterspark's work
• Draft, review, and edit advocacy materials such as talking points, emails, ads, and website content

This role helps advance clean energy legislation across 20 states by creating public support through advocacy and education materials, contributing to the transition to secure, clean, and affordable energy.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (Political Science, Public Policy, or Communications preferred) or comparable experience; master's or law degree is a plus
• 3-6 years professional experience with clean energy, climate, or other relevant policy areas
• Ability to distill complicated policy into digestible education and advocacy materials for the general public
• Proven research skills and ability to identify emerging policy areas in the clean energy space

Compensation and perks:

• Starting salary at $75,000
