Mission
What you will drive
The consultant/team will design and implement a mixed-methods evaluation of the School Leadership and Management (SLaM) Programme, focusing on sustainability in Nepal and localisation in Somalia. Key tasks include:
- Designing and implementing a mixed-methods evaluation framework, including support for country-level documentation frameworks.
- Conducting qualitative fieldwork in Nepal and Somalia, and analysing programme monitoring and outcome data.
- Assessing sustainability, effectiveness, localisation, and contextualisation of the SLaM approach, and conducting comparative analysis across countries.
- Producing key deliverables: Inception Report, Nepal Sustainability Assessment Report, Somalia Localisation and Contextualisation Report, Cross-Country Synthesis Report, validation workshops, and final evaluation report.

This evaluation will generate evidence to improve the effectiveness, sustainability, and scalability of the SLaM model, ultimately strengthening school leadership and governance to enhance children's learning and well-being in Nepal and Somalia.
Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in education, social sciences, development studies, public policy, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience conducting complex evaluations within the education sector, with strong expertise in mixed-methods research and evaluation.
- Experience assessing programme sustainability, institutionalisation, or systems strengthening, and working in fragile and conflict-affected contexts.
- Knowledge of school leadership, governance, education systems, or education reform programmes; strong qualitative research and analytical skills; ability to manage local researchers; excellent written and spoken English.
