Mission

What you will drive

Because of Her Uganda is a feminist, youth-led organisation working at the intersection of arts, media, and economic justice. We use storytelling, cultural production, and creative expression as tools to advance women’s rights, shift narratives, and expand women’s participation in public and economic life across Africa. Our work spans multimedia storytelling, exhibitions, community engagement, and creative skills development. We design programs that leverage arts and create spaces for dialogue on gender equality, rights, and social transformation. We are currently seeking to build a strategic partnership with a women’s rights organisation based in Europe whose work aligns with feminist advocacy, media and storytelling, cultural programming, or inclusive economic empowerment. This collaboration is envisioned as a mutual exchange that may include co-creation of programs, joint advocacy initiatives, knowledge sharing, cross-regional storytelling, and opportunities to connect African and European feminist movements through arts and media. We are particularly interested in organisations that: Work on gender equality, women’s rights, or feminist movement building Engage with media, arts, culture, or storytelling as tools for change Have experience in policy advocacy, research, or community-based programming Are interested in cross-continental collaboration and co-creating impactful, rights-based initiatives This is not a job opportunity but a call for institutional collaboration. We welcome expressions of interest from organisations interested in building a meaningful, long-term partnership grounded in shared values and vision.
