Mission
What you will drive
- Support the development and execution of strategic program priorities to advance TWS' goals in California, including conservation designation campaigns, land planning, stewardship, and conservation funding efforts.
- Assist in developing and cultivating coalitions, providing strategic guidance to local partners, and positioning TWS as a trusted collaborator among partners and decision makers.
- Foster relationships and build a network to educate and influence decision-makers, media, and opinion leaders on TWS' priorities in California.
- Plan and represent TWS at public and private gatherings, prepare written and visual materials, and support fundraising efforts.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on or leading issue advocacy or political campaigns and/or advancing public policy changes at local, state, or federal level, including through community organizing.
- Successful track record of building relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders in an inclusive, transparent, and effective manner.
- Knowledge of public lands, environmental, and/or conservation issues in California helpful but not required.
- Solid communication skills with ability to write and speak concisely and persuasively to diverse audiences; strong leadership qualities rooted in inclusion.
