Mission

What you will drive

  • Support organizational and coalition work to obtain specific science-based, progressive climate actions at the state level in California, such as making fossil fuel polluters pay for climate damage.
  • Build strong relationships with coalition allies, coordinate campaigns, and form strategic relationships with new stakeholders.
  • Implement campaign work including coordinating in-district meetings, passing local resolutions, organizing events like townhalls and rallies, and supporting a network of grassroots supporters.
  • Assist with legislative efforts, manage sign-on letters, staff policy hearings, and lead advocacy days at the Capitol.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Experience in results-oriented coalition organizing and advocacy campaigns: Staff level requires 3+ years; Senior level requires 8+ years.
  • Prior experience with California climate and/or progressive movement organizing preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse organizations and commitment to justice, equity, and inclusion.
  • Strong organizational, analytic, written, verbal communication, and meeting facilitation skills; ability to travel within California.

Salary range: Staff Organizer $55,000 - $70,000; Senior Organizer $70,000 - $85,000 (DOE).
