About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Research and create presentations on clean energy matters such as clean energy procurement, offshore wind, transmission permitting, and need determinations.
  • Contribute to the development of a framework for western energy market, with a focus on the launch of a western day ahead market.
  • Provide support to the team in developing recommendations on regulatory and legislative priorities through the creation of written memos, briefings, etc.
  • Share key findings and results to the EDF Decarbonizing U.S. Power Team, other key teams within EDF and strategic external partners.

This role supports EDF's Energy Transition Team in bending the curve on global greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel production and use by 2030, cleanly and equitably, through strategic reforms and clean energy initiatives.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Enrolled in or recent graduate of an undergraduate or graduate degree program with coursework in public policy, energy and/or economics preferred.
  • Demonstrated interest in energy, electricity, or regulatory utility policy.
  • Experience and/or demonstrated interest in legislation and regulatory matters related to clean energy.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, must be well organized, motivated, and detail-oriented.
