Business Development Representative

Core responsibilities:

• Identify and generate new business opportunities, build relationships with prospective clients, and promote utility services and software offerings
• Prospect, identify, and qualify potential clients, partners, leads, and opportunities within the utility and energy sectors
• Conduct outbound calls, emails, and follow-up communications to generate interest and secure meetings with decision-makers
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, delivery, and proposal teams to develop customized proposals aligned with client objectives

This role expands Resource Innovations' market presence and drives revenue growth within utility and energy management sectors, helping clients optimize energy performance, reduce costs, and meet sustainability goals through innovative energy solutions.

Required qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in utility business development, sales, or account management within utility, energy management, or related sectors
• Strong understanding of utility operations, energy efficiency, and regulatory environments
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency with CRM software and sales tools
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Energy Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

Compensation range: $110,000-$130,000 base salary plus commission, with eligibility for discretionary annual bonus. Benefits include three weeks paid vacation, paid holidays, 401(k) with employer matching, health/dental/vision insurance, and other supplemental benefits.
