Business Development Lead - Government | Charge Sales

Core responsibilities:

• Lead government-facing sales efforts to expand BETA's aircraft charging footprint across federal, state, municipal, and military customers
• Interface with agencies, policymakers, appropriators, procurement officers, and airport authorities to advance adoption of electric aviation infrastructure
• Partner with cross-functional teams to pursue opportunities, respond to RFPs, shape government program requirements, and develop policy-aligned growth strategies
• Manage Salesforce objects, workflows, and dashboards to track government-specific opportunities, RFPs, grants, and legislative-driven funding opportunities

This role contributes to revolutionizing electric aviation by expanding electric aircraft charging infrastructure across government sectors, advancing the adoption of sustainable aviation technology and positively impacting the environment.

Required qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of experience in government sales, public-sector business development, legislative policy, or government contracting
• Understanding of federal legislative process, appropriations cycles, and government procurement pathways
• Proficiency with Salesforce (data management, reporting, dashboards, and opportunity tracking)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting government proposals or RFP responses
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts and support technical selling
