What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide inclusive leadership and ensure effective governance for the Start Network Board
  • Chair the HR committee and play a critical role in fostering a collaborative Board culture
  • Work closely with the CEO, CFOO, Company Secretary, and fellow Trustees to guide strategic direction
  • Safeguard the organisation's mission, values, and financial integrity while supporting robust risk oversight

Required qualifications:

  • Prior Board experience with strong strategic oversight and governance capabilities
  • Experience in inclusive leadership and effective governance practices
  • Ability to represent the organisation externally to key stakeholders
  • Capacity to work collaboratively with senior leadership and fellow Trustees

What's in it for you

This is an unpaid voluntary role for which reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed, in accordance with Start Network policies. Trustees serve a three-year term, extendable to a maximum of two terms.
