BLACK BASE BUILDING CONSULTANT (short-term 6-month contract)

• Identify and engage at least 40 new Black-led organizations focused on membership growth and base-building, and strengthen relationships with existing partners.
• Facilitate visioning sessions and design tailored action plans to integrate just transition and climate justice into organizational priorities.
• Provide resource support, including sharing tools, training, funding opportunities, and managing resource requests.
• Plan and host two regional convenings, monthly calls, and maintain consistent communications to foster accountability and momentum.

This role strengthens Black-led organizations on the frontlines of climate justice, helping them integrate just transition principles and build capacity to address systemic inequities and environmental challenges.

• Deep understanding of and commitment to Black Liberation, Climate Justice, and Just Transition principles.
• Experience in organizing, growing, and maintaining coalitions or networks of aligned movement organizations.
• Experience working with base-building and membership-based organizations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to facilitate vision and action planning sessions.

This is a short-term contract position with no benefits. Total compensation with fulfillment of all deliverables is $50,000.
