Biodiversity Net Gain Consultant

• Lead from the front, acting as the first point of contact for expert advice on Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) for colleagues and clients
• Utilize background in terrestrial ecology and knowledge of the UK Habitat Classification System to apply experience with the BNG metric and other UK metrics
• Develop fee proposals, engage in higher-level technical writing, and manage ecological inputs on medium to large-scale projects
• Collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, identify risks and opportunities relating to BNG, and mentor others while balancing priorities

This role supports the delivery of Biodiversity Net Gain assessments, contributing to environmental sustainability and helping clients meet regulatory requirements for ecological conservation and enhancement.

• Significant industry experience in BNG assessments
• Full membership of a professional body or equivalent experience
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage large-scale projects
• Strong knowledge of UK legislation and the planning system, with excellent communication and technical writing skills
