The Business & Human Rights (BHR) Pillar focuses on addressing human rights risks linked to business activity, including forced labour, supply chain due diligence, conflict-affected and high-risk areas, and responsible resource governance.

We are looking for a BHR Partnerships and Development Officer to join our International team. The Business & Human Rights Partnerships & Development Officer plays an important role in supporting the strategic growth of the BHR Pillar by contributing to partnership development, donor engagement, and business development activities.

Working as part of the Partnerships & Development Team and in close collaboration with the Head of BHR, the role supports the identification, development, and positioning of new funding and partnership opportunities aligned with GRC’s strategic priorities.

The role contributes to expanding GRC’s funding pipeline and strengthening relationships with institutional donors, philanthropic actors, private sector partners, and other strategic stakeholders.

The Role

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of BHR and Partnerships & development Team on bid strategy, positioning, and partnership approaches.
  • Contribute to the identification, tracking, and positioning of funding opportunities aligned with BHR strategic priorities.
  • Conduct background research and analysis on prospective donors, private sector actors, and partners.
  • Provide coordination support to the Head of BHR in stakeholder interactions related to partnerships and business development.
  • Support internal coordination between the BHR Pillar and the Partnerships & Development Team.
  • Contribute to the development of capability statements, donor engagement materials, and positioning documents.
  • Support the development of high-quality concept notes, expressions of interest, and full proposals.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor and partner engagements within the CRM system.
  • Track engagement outcomes and coordinate follow-up actions to completion.
  • Contribute to strengthening internal systems and processes related to partnerships and development.

Your Background

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Business & Human Rights, responsible business conduct, supply chain due diligence, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting business development, partnerships, or donor engagement.
  • Experience working in an international NGO, international organisation, consultancy, or similar environment.
  • Proven experience supporting proposal development and understanding donor documentation requirements.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an international team environment.
  • Professional confidence representing the organisation externally (in person, online, and in writing).
  • Previous experience engaging with private sector actors is desirable.
  • Experience supporting donor-funded projects is desirable.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is beneficial.
  • Existing relationships within relevant donor or partnership networks would be an advantage.
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
