Audit Firm - Request for Proposals

Core responsibilities:

• Perform annual audit in accordance with filing requirements
• Prepare federal and state tax filings for the organization
• Provide management letter communicating any significant deficiencies or material weaknesses in internal control over financial reporting
• Conduct meetings with CEO, Controller, Board Treasurer and board of directors as necessary

This role ensures financial transparency and accountability for a nonprofit organization, supporting its mission through reliable financial reporting and compliance.

Required qualifications:

• CPA firm with experience providing auditing and tax services to not-for-profit sector entities
• Experience with organizations of comparable size ($5-9 million annual support)
• Membership in AICPA Audit Quality Center(s)
• Demonstrable technical expertise in accounting and ability to provide specialist technical accounting advice
