Attorney/Senior Attorney

• Collaborate with CAELP colleagues to advance strong climate and public health protections, focusing on doctrines for effective long-term governance
• Develop and implement strategies to influence legal doctrines impacting environmental law and government functions
• Research, identify, and develop engagement opportunities in legal strategy, regulatory advocacy, and defense of state legal authority
• Contribute to promoting and defending foundational legal principles in federal rulemaking and litigation through drafting advocacy documents and conducting legal research

This role creates positive change by advancing strong climate and public health regulations and developing creative responses to anti-regulatory legal doctrines, supporting effective governance and environmental protection.

• JD from an accredited law school
• Six or more years of legal or public policy experience, with preference for litigation experience
• Strong research skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to engage with highly-complex legal and policy questions and strong interpersonal collaboration skills
