Mission

What you will drive

  • Pitch, research, and produce 1-2 audio segments per week (12-17 minute conversations) for Science Friday's daily podcast and weekly radio show.
  • Pre-interview and book guests, manage recordings, source audio clips, write scripts and questions, and edit audio for length, clarity, and engagement.
  • Collaborate with hosts, editor, and audio team; contribute to cross-functional tasks with the Audience team for digital content and social media.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience covering science or related beats, preferably in radio or podcast production.
  • Bachelor's degree with journalism education or equivalent experience; strong audio editing skills using ProTools, Descript, Riverside, or similar.
  • Excellent writing, fact-checking, and organizational skills; ability to manage deadlines and work collaboratively.
  • Passion for science, technology, and media; curiosity about finding new angles and diverse voices.
