Associate - HIV Prevention
We are seeking an Associate to join our team. The Associate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of HIV prevention programs. The role will involve working closely with our team to design and deliver training programs, develop educational materials, and provide technical assistance to community-based organizations. The Associate will also assist in the development of grant proposals and reports, and will help to coordinate events and meetings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health, experience working with diverse populations, and excellent communication and project management skills. The Associate will be a key member of our team and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the fight against HIV.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of HIV prevention programs
- Design and deliver training programs for community-based organizations
- Develop educational materials, including brochures, posters, and social media content
- Provide technical assistance to community-based organizations
- Assist in the development of grant proposals and reports
- Coordinate events and meetings
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience working in public health, preferably in HIV prevention
- Strong background in program development and implementation
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in public health or a related field
- Experience working with diverse populations, including LGBTQ individuals and people of color
- Experience developing and implementing HIV prevention programs
- Familiarity with grant writing and reporting
- Experience working in a non-profit or government setting
