Associate Flood Risk Consultant

Core responsibilities for this role include:

• Lead and verify the production of flood risk consenting documents such as flood risk assessments, strategic flood risk assessments, flood risk activity permits, Section 19 reports, and water resource chapters of EIAs
• Provide expert input into tenders for complex and high-profile projects like nationally significant infrastructure projects
• Build strong relationships with clients and across technical discipline teams to successfully deliver a wide range of flood risk management projects
• Mentor staff within the team to support their professional development

This role helps shape the future of the water industry by delivering flood risk management projects that protect communities and infrastructure from flooding, contributing to more resilient and sustainable water systems.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Experience technically leading and managing production of flood risk consenting documents
• Knowledge of flood risk assessment, strategic flood risk assessment, flood risk activity permits, and water resource chapters of EIAs
• Ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate across technical discipline teams
• Experience mentoring staff and supporting professional development
