What you will drive
As an Associate Energy Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Collection and analysis of utility bills and consumption data
- Responding to team project managers and energy engineers' requests for research and reporting
- Supporting project and client needs through tasks including utility bill analysis, energy simulation modeling, rebate program analysis, energy auditing, technology feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, building commissioning participation, report generation, and project development

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, sciences, or other relevant disciplines
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot charts, mathematical functions, statistical functions, and regression analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Understanding of major building components including HVAC, lighting, and building control systems
- Basic understanding of building construction and structural design
- Ability to identify and analyze energy savings opportunities and use Excel-based tools for generating cost and savings estimates
- Ability to read and analyze utility bills including understanding rate structures and differentiating between 'demand' and 'energy' charges
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in team environment with minimal supervision
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with building energy modeling software (eQUEST, Trane TRACE 700, or other relevant software)
- Understanding of commercial-scale renewable energy and CHP systems, supply-side energy procurement strategies, and demand response
- Familiarity with commercial energy efficiency rebate programs and application processes
