This role leads institutional fundraising efforts, strengthens donor relationships, oversees campaign execution, and supervises the Development Associate. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, hands-on fundraising professional eager to help shape and grow a diversified revenue strategy at a respected human services organization. Key Responsibilities Institutional Fundraising & Donor Strategy Manage foundation and corporate funders, including prospect research, LOIs, proposals, and reporting Identify and pursue new programmatic and general operating support Collaborate across departments to craft compelling proposals and impact reports Track fundraising performance and prepare Board development reports Campaigns & Individual Giving Lead direct mail and multi-channel fundraising campaigns (print, digital, social) Oversee donor stewardship, including memorial/honor gifts and monthly donors Develop and implement a comprehensive planned giving program Supervise prospect research and cultivation strategies Operations & Data Management Oversee gift processing, acknowledgments, and donor database integrity (Raiser’s Edge) Partner with Finance on gift reconciliation and restricted funds Develop tracking tools and dashboards to support strategic decision-making Maintain JASA profiles on third-party charity platforms Leadership & Collaboration Supervise the Development Associate Contribute to fundraising events and cultivation activities Support website updates and development-related communications Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred Minimum 5+ years of progressive fundraising experience, with demonstrated success securing and stewarding institutional and individual support Strong foundation and corporate fundraising experience, including prospect research, proposal development, and grant reporting Experience leading fundraising campaigns, including direct mail and multi-channel donor outreach Hands-on experience with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred), including gift processing, acknowledgments, reporting, and data management Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively write about complex programs and impact Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and discretion Professional, collaborative approach when working with staff, board members, donors, and external partners Willingness to travel throughout New York City (five boroughs) and Long Island Fluency in English (written and verbal) Strong computer literacy and willingness to learn program-specific systems Technical Skills Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace Familiarity with mail merge tools and other fundraising/communications platforms; experience with Canva, social media platforms, and Adobe Suite preferred JASA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
