Job Summary
We are seeking an Associate, Credit Underwriting to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing credit applications, making recommendations for approval or denial, and working closely with our sales and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze credit applications to determine creditworthiness
- Make recommendations for approval or denial of credit applications
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of transactions
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including sales teams, operations teams, and external partners
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve credit underwriting processes and procedures

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. finance, business, economics)
- 2+ years of experience in credit underwriting or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of credit underwriting principles and practices
- Experience with credit scoring models and credit risk assessment
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial markets and instruments
