Area Accountant

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions, and prepare monthly/quarterly operational performance reports.
• Assist the Area Controller in ensuring proper internal controls, compliance with company policies, Sarbanes Oxley, and statutory requirements.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support accounting aspects of capital expenditures, assist with financial audits, and respond to information requests from corporate and field management.

This role supports the financial integrity and compliance of a leading environmental services company, enabling efficient waste and recycling operations that contribute to sustainability and circularity.

• Accounting experience with thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with general ledger software, preferably Oracle.
