Area Accountant

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions, preparing monthly and quarterly operational performance reports.
• Assist the Area Controller in ensuring proper internal controls, including compliance with company policies, Sarbanes Oxley, and statutory requirements.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and statistical data, fully analyzing financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
• Support the Area Controller during the annual budget and interim forecasting process, assisting with analytical review and accounting aspects of capital expenditures.

• Accounting experience and thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Intermediate MS Excel skills and experience with general ledger software, Oracle accounting software, and other industry programs.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrate initiative, and complete projects with minimal supervision.
