Application Security Engineering Manager

Core responsibilities:

• Oversee "shift left" security efforts to build security into the software development lifecycle, with a focus on automation and scalability
• Operate our vulnerability management, security partnerships, and bug bounty / vulnerability disclosure programs
• Help to develop security policies, standards, playbooks and secure coding training content
• Manage and grow a team of Application Security engineers to deliver high-impact projects and experiences to our internal users

This role ensures the security and integrity of Anthropic's AI products and third-party software, helping to build reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems that are safe and beneficial for users and society as a whole.

Required skills and experience:

• 5+ years hands-on application and infrastructure security experience
• 3+ years of engineering management experience
• Possesses a deep understanding of security best practices, threat modeling, risk assessment
• Experienced in securing complex cloud environments (Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP)
• Knowledgeable in AI/ML security risks and mitigations
