Analyst/Senior Analyst (Energy Storage)

Core responsibilities:

• Conduct research related to energy storage, least cost resource planning, load flow analysis, and power system reliability
• Undertake economic analysis in energy and power sectors including energy storage, renewable energy, and electric mobility to support policy decisions
• Develop financial/econometric models pertaining to the energy and power sector and compile/analyze energy market data
• Establish communication with stakeholders (government, industry, academia) and document research findings in reports, journals, and conferences

This role contributes to India's green energy transition by conducting research and analysis that informs policy decisions for sustainable energy systems, particularly focusing on energy storage solutions.

Required qualifications and skills:

• MTech in energy/power or equivalent in related field
• Competence in power system planning tools and software/statistical tools (Python, R, SAS, Tableau, SPSS) for economic modeling
• Expertise in least-cost resource planning, power flow analysis, cost-benefit analysis, life-cycle cost analysis, and forecasting
• Experience working with generating companies, distribution utilities, regulatory commissions, ministries, and government bodies
