What you will drive

  • Lead research on Just Transition pathways for renewable energy development across Indian states, with emphasis on social, economic, and environmental impacts on affected communities.
  • Assess technical, economic, and policy levers to drive fair and inclusive energy transitions, including workforce reskilling, community benefit-sharing, land-use planning, and equitable access to clean energy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at state, national, and community levels to co-develop actionable recommendations for just and equitable renewable energy deployment.
  • Prepare policy briefs, technical reports, presentations, and journal articles to share research findings and recommendations.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as law, public policy, economics, environmental studies, or a related social science field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in energy transition research, Just Transition planning, renewable energy policy and planning, socio-economic impact assessment, community engagement, data analytics, and/or policy advocacy and communications.
  • In-depth knowledge of India's regulatory framework, policies, and market dynamics in the renewable energy and power sectors.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory and policy documents and provide strategic recommendations.
