Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Synthesizing data from various sources (e.g., US Census, government sources, research reports) with considerable data manipulation using Microsoft Excel
  • Supporting and conducting interviews with community leaders (government officials, non-profit leaders, researchers)
  • Capturing and synthesizing highlights from client and internal meetings, and developing flawless presentations in PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
  • Supporting team and client project management (work planning, meeting logistics, travel)

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Passion for social justice and excellent team player with high willingness to go the extra mile
  • Excellent analytical skills with high comfort with math, logic, and data; strong written and oral communication skills
  • Currently studying or recently completed graduate degree (or equivalent) with considerable coursework in statistics, economics, finance, logic; writing/humanities a plus
  • 1-2+ years of professional or postgraduate research experience; facility with workplace expectations (timeliness, quality control)

Compensation: Commensurate with experience (from $35-40 hourly). Most PEG employees are employed on a part-time basis, with an allocation of 8-10 hours per week for this role.
