Associate Director of Finance & Operations

Core responsibilities:

• Oversee the finances and operations of AidData, working with the Executive Director and leadership team
• Manage fiscal, human resource, and administrative activities including budgeting, financial management, office management, facility management, and human resource management
• Lead department communication and coordination with functional departments and other campus units
• Supervise staff accountable for day-to-day operations for AidData and its respective units

This role supports AidData's goal of serving as a leading research institution at William & Mary and around the globe, enabling the organization to effectively manage resources and operations to advance its research mission.

Required qualifications:

• Master's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Significant experience in research administration, financial management, and/or operations management
• Significant team leadership experience
• Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and interpret policies and procedures with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to foster collegial relationships with diverse constituencies
• Systems thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement skills
