How to Apply for AI Solutions Developer

at Too Good To Go

๐Ÿข About Too Good To Go

Too Good To Go is a certified B Corporation on a mission to fight food waste, with a community of 120 million users saving over 500 million meals. Recognized by Fortune's 'Change the World' list and Apple's App Store Awards, it's a fast-growing, impact-driven company where your work directly contributes to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

About This Role

As the AI Solutions Developer, you'll turn cutting-edge AI into global operational reality for the Commercial team. You'll build and deploy AI solutions that optimize surplus food redistribution and partner engagement, directly scaling the fight against food waste.

๐Ÿ’ก A Day in the Life

Your day might start with a stand-up with the Commercial team to discuss partner needs, then you'll prototype an AI model to predict store surplus, collaborate with product on integrating it into the app, and end by reviewing model performance metrics. You'll also have time to research new AI tools that could further reduce food waste.

๐ŸŽฏ Who Too Good To Go Is Looking For

  • Has hands-on experience deploying AI/ML models in production, especially in a startup or fast-paced environment.
  • Combines strong technical skills (Python, ML frameworks, cloud services) with a passion for sustainability and social impact.
  • Is a creative problem-solver who can translate business needs into practical AI solutions, not just implement existing models.
  • Thrives in cross-functional teams, working closely with commercial and product stakeholders to drive real-world impact.

๐Ÿ“ Tips for Applying to Too Good To Go

1

Highlight any experience you have with AI for operational efficiency or marketplace optimization, as that's core to the role.

2

Showcase your impact: use metrics (e.g., 'reduced manual effort by X%' or 'improved prediction accuracy by Y%') to demonstrate results.

3

Mention your familiarity with Too Good To Go's mission in your cover letterโ€”reference specific initiatives or stats from their website.

4

Tailor your resume to emphasize AI deployment over research; they want someone who ships solutions, not just experiments.

5

Include a link to a portfolio or GitHub with a project that solved a real-world problem using AI, ideally with a sustainability angle.

โœ‰๏ธ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter

["Your passion for reducing food waste and how it aligns with Too Good To Go's mission.", "Concrete examples of AI solutions you've built and deployed that drove measurable business outcomes.", 'Your ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a remote, global team.', "Why you're excited about the commercial impact of AI in this role, not just the technology."]
