AI Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Natural and Artificial Minds

Core responsibilities:

• Contribute to one or both current core projects: "Explanation and Intelligibility" or "Developing and Testing AI Models of Human Cognitive Function"
• Take advantage of advances in AI to study natural and artificial minds in parallel
• Make discoveries about human cognition and find new ways to understand and improve AI systems
• Utilize the AI Lab GPU cluster (300 H100s) for research

This role creates positive change by advancing our understanding of both human and artificial intelligence, potentially leading to more interpretable and beneficial AI systems while making discoveries about human cognition.

Required qualifications:

• Recently received or about to receive a Ph.D. or doctorate degree in cognitive science, psychology, computer science, philosophy, or related discipline
• Strong interest and track record in designing, understanding, or engineering AI models or methods
• Experience with applications of AI in cognitive science
• Ability to participate in-person on campus at Princeton University
