Mission

What you will drive

  • Lead OHEA's state legislative agenda and track policy priorities through coalitions, campaigns, and advisory meetings.
  • Build relationships with elected officials and decision-makers to advocate for racial justice-informed health equity policies.
  • Create accessible policy and advocacy updates for community education and organizing.
  • Convene OHEA's monthly Policy Committee and coordinate community engagement initiatives.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • 5-7 years experience in social, racial, gender justice, and/or health equity, and coalition building.
  • 3-5 years experience with state and county policy and advocacy work, including community organizing, campaign management, or lobbying.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills; ability to work remotely and independently.
  • Lived experience and deep understanding of health inequities, racial injustice, and Oregon's political landscape.
