Advisor – ICARS Africa

Core responsibilities:

• Develop and advise on research study designs for baseline studies to identify AMR priorities in African countries across all One Health sectors
• Develop and advise on AMR mitigation interventions and intervention and implementation research (IIR) across One Health sectors that contextualize and assess impact in African countries
• Provide expert input into development and implementation of ICARS projects and contribute to technical reporting requirements for external donors
• Support stakeholder mapping and engagement, establish working relationships with relevant stakeholders, and represent ICARS at meetings, conferences, and networking events

This role contributes to addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in African countries through research, intervention development, and stakeholder engagement, ultimately improving public health outcomes across the continent.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Expertise in research study design and AMR (antimicrobial resistance) mitigation
• Experience with intervention and implementation research (IIR) in African contexts
• Technical reporting skills for external donors
• Stakeholder engagement and representation capabilities
