What you will drive

  • Delivertailored information and adviceto individuals and groups of deaf children, young people, and their families.
  • Support deaf children, young people, and their familiesin becomingmore confidentin articulating their needs independently.
  • Helpdeaf children, young people, and their families explore their options and decide on a preferred course of action.
  • Develop and maintaineffective relationshipswith professionals and organisations that support deaf children.
  • Attend bothin-person and online eventsto provide information and advice tailored to different audiences.
  • Significant experience and understandingof the skills and practices required to deliverperson-centredsupport to children, young people, and their families.
  • Experience providinginformation and advice to familiesand young people, bothdigitally and face-to-face.
  • Astrong working knowledgeof education and special educational needs, including relevant legislation, government guidance, and local implementation.
  • Anunderstanding of deafnessand its impact on children, family dynamics, raising a deaf child, and child development-translating this into effective, child-centred practice.
  • Strongdigital skillsand a sound understanding ofagile values & principles.
  • A criminal record check /DBS disclosure(if offered the position).
