Accounting Strategist

• Work closely with a third-party accounting team and facilitate communication between Industrious Labs and the third-party as needed.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for multiple bank accounts and employee credit cards, reconcile balance sheet accounts, record and allocate payroll transactions, process deposits against invoices and revenue accounts, and enter and post accounts payable transactions.
• Generate monthly revenue reports for program leads and organizational leadership, maintain the general ledger, and prepare and post journal entries as needed.
• Prepare draft and final financial statements for management, board, and funders, assist in the annual budgeting process with data analysis and reconciliation, and support finance staff with tax, audit, and assurance preparation tasks.

• Strong understanding of GAAP principles for for-profit and nonprofit organizations.
• Experience with accounting platforms, especially Sage Intacct.
• Demonstrated skill reconciling multiple bank and credit card accounts.
• Clear and professional communication skills—able to translate financial information to non-financial audiences.
• Values-driven, with alignment to the organization’s mission and core competencies.

The hourly pay for this position is $43.75. Industrious Labs has a policy not to negotiate compensation. We offer competitive benefits for part time employment, including a work-from-home stipend, up to 5% 401k employer match, 11 paid holidays, and unlimited PTO (with a minimum requirement of 8 business days for this role). We are currently unable to offer health benefits (medical, dental and vision insurance) to part-time employees; however, part-time employees are eligible to receive once-yearly additional prorated compensation of $6,000. This compensation may offset some self-acquired health coverage costs.
