Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Serve as a full-charge accountant for nonprofit clients, preparing and posting A/R, A/P, payroll, journal entries, bank and credit card reconciliations
- Review and maintain accounting systems and implement process improvements to streamline client accounting processes
- Ensure complete and accurate general ledger/project coding for all transactions and maintain financial records in accordance with GAAP, client policies, and funding requirements
- Prepare internal and external financial statements, support clients' annual financial process with external audit teams, and track/report on client grant funding sources

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- 5 years of full charge bookkeeping or equivalent accounting experience
- Full understanding of accrual accounting and strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and comfortable with accounting and general enterprise software systems
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and communicate with nonprofit clients in a supportive, professional manner
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Nonprofit accounting experience and QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification
- Consulting experience working with multiple clients simultaneously
- Grants management experience
