Account Manager

Core responsibilities:

• Be the expert in your account's strategy, business, market, and goals, and define and deliver on account strategy and plan in partnership with leadership.
• Accountable for delivering against contract and business outcomes, managing internal and external tracking and progress against contract metrics, and leading customers toward realizing business value through Uplight's solutions.
• Accountable for churn and customer satisfaction metrics, managing customer expectations and scope for contracts, and building strong relationships with customers from individual contributor to senior levels.
• Manage the customer's interface with Uplight, participate in cross-functional teamwork to deliver against contractual commitments, and contribute to improvement efforts to reduce churn and improve CSAT.

This role directly impacts Uplight's mission of decarbonization and building a more sustainable future by driving decarbonization outcomes and the advancement of the clean energy economy through managing utility clients and delivering clean energy solutions.

Required skills, experience, qualifications:

• Preferably 3-5 years of experience in Project Management, Account Management or Customer Success, preferably at a SaaS or enterprise software company, with SaaS business model experience.
• Strong customer orientation and presence in front of senior management, expertise developing and maintaining key relationships across an organization, and strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience working on large, complex IT or similar technology projects requiring attention to detail, planning, and multi-channel communication requirements, and ability to work across departments to drive cross-functional work streams.
• Preferably energy or utility industry experience, passion for energy and its impact, values alignment, and ability to travel 10% of the time.
