What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Develop the sales pipeline needed to achieve or exceed sales targets and goals
- Prospect and develop business relationships, close sales, and manage customer expectations as the company grows
- Engage qualified prospects and take them through the journey of identifying the value proposition for Planet solutions and negotiating through agreement/contract/procurement obstacles
- Work strategically to develop the pipeline of qualified opportunities needed to achieve or exceed sales targets and goals

This role helps government and defense institutions access Planet's satellite imagery data to support intelligence, defense, and national security missions, contributing to global security and humanitarian efforts through better data-driven decision making.

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or commensurate professional experience
- 6+ years of related experience in Enterprise Solution Sales required along with a successful track record
- 6+ years of experience selling to government customers, including understanding the nuances of Government sales cycles
- Excellent relationships across Japanese Government and the partner ecosystem
- Experience successfully finding and winning business with Government customers, such as the Military of Defense, an Intelligence account, or similar
