5.7. Government Affairs Analyst

Core responsibilities:

• Analyze defense and aerospace policy developments affecting critical metals and manufacturing
• Track NDAA, appropriations, and regulatory actions relevant to the defense industrial base
• Produce policy briefs, legislative summaries, and issue analyses for leadership
• Monitor DoD programs and funding opportunities related to supply chain resilience
• Support strategic planning through data-driven insights on government priorities
• Maintain internal tracking tools for policy and stakeholder engagement

This role helps shape the future of aerospace, defense, and national security through innovation in domestic supply chains, contributing to sustainable and economic critical metals production for the next generation economy.

Required qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in policy analysis, government research, or defense-related roles
• Strong understanding of U.S. government and defense policy processes
• Interest in aerospace, defense, and national security economics
• Excellent analytical, writing, and research skills
• Ability to synthesize complex policy information into clear insights
• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, political science, or related field
