Re-advertisement - Programme Specialist (Health)

Core responsibilities:

• Under the guidance of the Health Manager P4, accountable for programme planning, design, implementation, and administration of Global Fund malaria project within a major programme
• Ensure knowledge management through data collection, analysis, and reporting to strengthen malaria programmes
• Monitor programme implementation through field visits and ensure quality through rights-based and results-based management approaches
• Develop partnerships and provide technical support to government authorities for capacity building and programme sustainability

This role contributes to UNICEF's mission of saving children's lives and defending their rights by strengthening malaria programmes in South Sudan, ensuring children have access to essential health services and supporting the implementation of national health campaigns.

Required qualifications:

• Advanced university degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Administration, Social Development, or related field (Bachelor's degree with additional experience may be accepted)
• Five years of relevant professional work experience required
• Experience working in a developing country considered an asset
• Fluency in English required; knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic) preferred
