Director of Advocacy

Core responsibilities for the Director of Advocacy:

• Lead advocacy initiatives to influence humanitarian policies and practices
• Develop and implement strategies to advance the IRC's mission through policy change
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and partners
• Represent the IRC in advocacy forums and coalitions to amplify impact

This role creates positive change by shaping policies and practices that improve humanitarian response, ensuring better outcomes for crisis-affected communities worldwide.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Extensive experience in advocacy, policy, or government relations, preferably in humanitarian or international development contexts
• Strong leadership skills with ability to manage teams and complex projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Deep understanding of humanitarian issues and policy landscapes
