Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Conduct research to identify existing and novel datasets for producing independent, actionable greenhouse gas emissions data at varying temporal and spatial scales to drive accelerated mitigation
- Evaluate attributes and potential role of selected datasets to advance greenhouse gas mitigation relative to conventional datasets
- Lead and participate in preparing manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals and create reports/fact sheets/blog posts for general audiences
- Become familiar with relevant scientific literature and policy contexts, synthesize and disseminate information for EDF scientists and specialists

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- Recent Ph.D. in atmospheric science, earth system science, or relevant natural sciences, engineering, or environmental studies
- Strong quantitative skills with proficiency in R, Python, SQL databases, and/or JavaScript programming
- Track record of relevant research including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations
- Demonstrated excellence in scientific analysis and communication of concepts to general audiences
- Ability to work independently in interdisciplinary settings and learn new skills
