Web developer

Core responsibilities:

• Support the expansion and refinement of AAANY's proprietary client and donor database
• Add analytics tools to the internal database to analyze community engagement, programmatic impact, and demographic/programmatic shifts
• Refine digital security tools to ensure client safety, security, and privacy during data collection and analysis expansion
• Work independently to solve problems while collaborating with the Director of Programs, IT Specialist, and other stakeholders

This role creates positive change by enhancing AAANY's ability to analyze community engagement and program impact while ensuring the safety and privacy of vulnerable clients through improved digital security measures.

Required skills and experience:

• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/SQL, Node.js frameworks (Express/Koa), query builders (Knex.js), modern frontend frameworks (React/Vue), CSS (Tailwind), test tooling, CI/CD, Git, and deployment processes
• Foundational understanding of web technologies and internet infrastructure
• Ability to work across infrastructure, backend, and frontend layers while making architectural decisions
• Comfort working independently and solving problems with limited support from the original application developer
