Vice President of Sales and Business Development

Core responsibilities:

• Lead go-to-market strategy and execution, including identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities across public sector, utilities, and adjacent verticals
• Build, lead, and scale a high-performance sales and business development team while establishing sales infrastructure and processes
• Design and execute market expansion strategies into utilities, state and municipal governments, and other regulated markets
• Establish strategic partnerships and relationships to drive top-of-funnel activity and accelerate sales cycles

This role helps catalyze bold climate action by expanding Aclima's environmental monitoring technology to governments and utilities, protecting community health and reducing emissions through data-driven insights.

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of enterprise sales experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership, with proven revenue growth and team building experience
• Experience selling into regulated markets (B2G and/or utility) with multi-year, multi-stakeholder deals requiring procurement review
• Technical credibility to sell with scientists/engineers, discussing methods, uncertainty, QA/QC, validation, and limitations
• Strong operating discipline with pipeline management, forecasting, and sales process expertise (MEDDICC or equivalent)
