Mission
What you will drive
- Develop, supervise, lead, and engage in all aspects of litigation and litigation-related advocacy, including case development, legal research, client counseling, motions practice, discovery, and media advocacy
- Collaborate with IRAP staff in other program departments to ensure litigation supports and leverages policy, legal services, and communications work
- Represent IRAP in external relationships with advocates, pro bono firms, media, and donors
- Participate in organizational tasks such as hiring committees, cross-departmental task forces, and providing feedback on organization-wide issues

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Law degree and license to practice law in a U.S. state; willingness to apply for New York bar if relocating
- 3-10 years of relevant legal experience after law school, with substantial federal court litigation experience
- Litigation and advocacy skills including project development/management, client management, research/writing, discovery, oral advocacy, and media advocacy
- Commitment to equity, teamwork, and centering displaced people; experience working with marginalized/displaced communities preferred; additional languages (Arabic, Dari, Farsi, etc.) a plus
