System Dynamics Modeler

Core responsibilities:

• Contribute to developing system dynamics models for urban, environmental, and health applications using Stella Architect
• Lead participatory model-building workshops with stakeholders to ensure co-production and shared understanding
• Lead model development processes including data collection, calibration, validation, and comprehensive documentation
• Prepare key deliverables such as simulation outputs, data visualizations, technical reports, and academic manuscripts
• Support capacity building by providing training and guidance to partners, stakeholders, and collaborators
• Contribute to development of new research proposals in system dynamics modeling

This role contributes to improving health outcomes and advancing social justice by applying systems thinking approaches to health systems, supporting evidence-informed decision-making and policy planning at local and international levels.

Required skills and experience:

• PhD (or Master's) in system dynamics with relevant professional experience
• Experience in system dynamics modeling in Stella and participatory group model building approaches
• Strong analytical skills and methodical approach to data management and analysis
• High-level organizational and time management skills for managing input from multiple stakeholders
• High proficiency in spoken and written English (proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or French is an advantage)
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to foster inclusive workplace culture
