Staff Technical Writer

Core responsibilities:

• Research and write technical documentation about ChargePoint charging station hardware and software for global audiences
• Work cross-functionally between engineering, support, testing, and product management to produce installation, site design, service, and software guides
• Maintain document revision control for output in print and online across multiple languages
• Ensure consistency and clarity across all documentation by learning products deeply

This role contributes to the transition to electric mobility by creating clear technical documentation that enables the installation, use, and service of EV charging infrastructure worldwide, supporting the growth of sustainable transportation.

Required qualifications:

• 8-12 years of technical writing experience in a complex product environment
• Experience documenting hardware assembly and installation at the product level
• Proficient in Adobe FrameMaker with knowledge of other Adobe products
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred
• Knowledge of image editing software (Photoshop, GIMP, Illustrator, etc.)
