Staff Software Engineer, Routing

Core responsibilities:

• Build and scale both backend systems and onboard modules for the Routing team, including designing microservices, optimizing routing algorithms, and building monitoring infrastructure
• Work with product, strategy, and operations teams to design new user experiences and define product strategy and roadmap
• Continuously refine the routing engine to calculate more efficient routes, deliver accurate ETAs, and manage scalable traffic for every journey

This role creates positive change by developing routing technology for autonomous vehicles that empowers a safer, richer, and more connected future through accessible autonomy.

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years experience building and scaling realtime server-side applications
• Proficiency in C++ programming and experience with large-scale complex algorithm problems
• Experience with various databases (relational, non-relational, data warehouses), RPC frameworks, pubsub systems, and cloud providers
• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes, training and inferencing ML models, and strong communication skills with cross-functional teams

Compensation and benefits:

• Base pay range: $213,480 - $319,720 annually
