Staff Engineer, Full Stack (Remote, US)

• Lead the architectural design for complex software projects covering both backend systems and frontend user interfaces
• Build and maintain features, bridging the gap between backend infrastructure and frontend user experience
• Guide small groups of engineers, mentor team members, and help support a strong engineering culture
• Work closely with other teams including product, design, and others while ensuring overall code quality and software best practices

This role contributes to changing how we power the world by making it easier for customers to save energy and money at home as part of the largest residential virtual power plant in North America, ultimately promoting cleaner energy for everyone.

• 7+ years of industry experience building complex software with full-stack expertise in both backend (Python) and frontend (TypeScript/React) development
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science or demonstrated experience in the software industry with strong SQL skills and proficiency with SQL databases
• Extensive experience leading the design of complex software systems with deep understanding of architectural patterns and best practices
• Ability to work independently, manage large projects, solve complex problems, and drive completion of major initiatives through self-sufficiency

• Competitive salary: $170,000 - $220,000 base salary based on experience
